Artist Statement:
I share stories of life's wisdom through the ancient art form of shaping stone. By partnering with stone to create abstracted and stylized imagery, the viewer is invited to explore beauty, peace, self reflection, growth and positivity.

Artist Statement:
For 40+ years Deran Wright has been bringing the imagination to life through sculpture, from the ultra-realistic, to the fantastic.
Through the medium of bronze sculpture Deran Wright explores the symbolism, the icons, the myths and legends that are the undercurrent of our society.
Iconic images of heroes, dragons, greenmen, fairies, leprechuans, monsters and hobgoblins run deep through humanity's collective psyche. Soaring eagles, wild horses running free, children at play. We surround ourselves with powerful sculptural symbols that inspire and motivate us, and restore our connection to our humanity.

Artist Statement:
Michael Duncan is an artist from Dallas, Texas known for his abstract sculptures merging elements of cubism and biomorphic art. His sculptural work explores the underlying structures and energies that underpin and sustain human existence, using the human axial skeletal system as a metaphor for vitality and inner strength. Michael’s paintings are colorful and show the human form at the cellular level of existence, drawing viewers into a world of energy and motion. His unique works on canvas intricately weave together captivating colors and patterns that skillfully capture the microscopic and biological intricacies of the human form. Central to Duncan’s work are themes of inclusion, acceptance, and community. His art offers an exploration of the human spirit, prompting viewers to contemplate the complexities of existence and cultivating a deeper appreciation for the boundless potential of creativity and expression.

Artist Statement:
As an artist who immerses themselves into a variety of mediums, I use each approach as a means of forging visual stories, fueling my creative spirit and inviting viewers to experience the infinite possibilities of creation. My work is composed of practices such as drawing, photography, welding and woodworking, sculpting with clay, and recently music. I am constantly inspired by the world around me, and I embrace these diverse practices where each medium provides a unique journey of discovering new textures, techniques and endless possibilities! I consider myself a hands-on learner, so I feel much more fulfilled working with materials that I can mold with my own hand. I believe these may open new doors for me in the future, whether I decide I want to work in other areas of interest, such as architecture, interior design, furniture making, fashion design, and everything in-between!

My work explores memory, identity, and migration through painting, ceramics, and installation. At the center is my character New People, a multi-eyed figure embodying resilience, vulnerability, and transformation. Using materials like porcelain, textiles, and found objects, I create spaces where fragility and strength coexist, inviting viewers to reflect on personal and collective stories.

I make sculpture about function under constraint. Cast metal becomes a stand-in for the body—rigid, heavy, and marked by force. Vertebral forms, stretched columns, and clustered elements suggest systems that have absorbed impact yet continue to operate. I use digital-to-physical processes to refine structure, then rely on foundry methods to test it against heat, gravity, and time. Surface treatments heighten the contrast between abrasion and resilience. I’m less interested in courage as a prerequisite for making than in what art can do once it exists—particularly its ability to make lived, often invisible conditions legible to others. The work remains upright not because it is stable, but because it has adapted.

My work explores the arc of existence; each element supports the next in a delicate architecture of becoming. I work in steel, glass, fiberglass, and kinetic elements to explore tension and transformation. Dalle de verre and stained glass offer a play of light and interaction; fiberglass lends fluidity and shapes that otherwise might be difficult to create; motion introduces time as a collaborator. I believe in the continuum of time and entropy — the cycles that keep life moving forward and our prime obligation to leave the world better than we find it, and to fully inhabit our time on earth.
